Selling
When selling at auction . . .
- Provide all the relevant details on the entry form we provide.
- Be honest with your description. You may be liable to prosecution under the Trading Standard Laws if you provide a misleading description, you will also be charged commission if the sale is cancelled, or item withdrawn for blatant misrepresentation.
- Ensure you bring along all relevant documentation i.e. REGISTRATION DOCUMENT / V5 (with the appropriate sections completed and signed), M.O.T. CERTIFICATE and any SERVICE HISTORY. It always helps if you have any bills or receipts for work carried out.
- Make every effort to present whatever it is you are selling at it's best, clean and preferably in working order.
- In the case of our Saturday Plant Sales, enter the item as early as possible before the day of the sale, entries for our Plant Sales close at 12:00 noon on the Friday before the Saturday Sale. Cars entered for the regular Monday evening sale, must arrive, with documents and a correctly completed entry form by 6:30 pm on the day of the sale.
- As in every auction sale the seller will be charged a commission for the sale; for full details of commission rates please ask a member of staff.
